Education and Outreach
Education is one of the most powerful tools we have to prevent HIV, challenge stigma, and promote health equity. At the Delaware HIV Consortium, we are committed to delivering inclusive, community-centered education and outreach programs that meet people where they are—culturally, emotionally, and physically.

Empowering Communities Through Knowledge
Through interactive outreach, awareness campaigns, and targeted education, we aim to inform, engage, and empower individuals across Delaware—particularly those in communities most impacted by HIV. Our efforts are grounded in respect; lived experience; and the belief that knowledge creates the foundation for action, care, and change.

Key Areas of Focus
Advocacy and Representation
We advocate for the health and rights of people affected by HIV, ensuring community voices are heard in policy and funding decisions that shape care and prevention services.
Personalized Education for Priority Populations
We provide responsive, relevant education for youth, LGBTQ+ individuals, people experiencing homelessness, people who are incarcerated or re-entering the community, and others disproportionately affected by HIV and STIs.
Resource Access and Distribution
We connect communities with accurate and up-to-date information, safer sex supplies, and harm reduction tools to support informed choices and healthier lives.
Training and Capacity Building
We offer consultation and training to schools, nonprofits, clinics, and community groups to help them integrate inclusive, trauma-informed HIV prevention into their work.
Education Modules
Our education modules are designed to equip individuals, service providers, and communities with the knowledge and tools needed to prevent new HIV transmission, support people living with HIV, and reduce stigma through culturally responsive, evidence-informed education. Whether you’re a community advocate, a health care provider, an educator, or someone seeking to learn more, these modules foster awareness, action, and health equity.
